    REDUSE: Integrating research for human-centred treatment in septic shock.

  • ASCOT

    ASCOT: A clinical trial that will generate clinical evidence on treatment for COVID-19, which can be applied during a pandemic to reduce mortality.

    TTM2: This trial is a phase III, multi-centre, randomised, parallel-group, clinical trial in resuscitated cardiac arrest patients admitted to the intensive care unit.

    SNAP: Aims to improve treatment outcomes for patients with Staphylococcus aureus bloodstream infections.

  • CAPTIVATE

    CAPTIVATE: The Global Kidney Patient Trials Network (GKPTN) registry has enrolled 4334 patients with chronic kidney disease since May 2020 across 119 sites in 8 countries.

  • ROADMAP

    ROADMAP: Prosthetic joint infections (PJI) affect ~1–3% of hip and knee replacements and are difficult to treat due to bacterial biofilms on implants.

Community-Based

    PANORAMIC: identify treatments for Covid-19 for use in the community early on in the illness that speeds recovery and prevents the need for hospital admission.

    REST: a multi-arm digital sleep intervention trial targeting adolescents aged 12–16 years and their parents or caregivers.

  • WHAKAMOEARIKI

    WHAKAMOEARIKI: a Māori-led, kaupapa Māori-aligned randomised study centred on Māori women and their whānau.

A neonatal trial that spans hospital and intensive care

One of the trials currently preparing to go live at Spiral is PLATIPUS, an Australasian platform trial led out of the University of Melbourne, focused on improving outcomes for babies at risk of preterm birth, or born preterm.
