The Development Team designs, builds, and maintains the technology that powers Spiral's clinical trial infrastructure. Working closely with Product Owners, testers, and clients, they transform complex trial requirements into secure, reliable platforms that support researchers around the world.
Who is Stew?
As a Senior Software Developer at Spiral, I help design and build the software that supports clinical trials and medical research. My role spans everything from developing new trial functionality and strengthening our core platform to solving the technical challenges that naturally arise when supporting complex clinical studies.
I've been developing software for almost four decades, working across CRM systems, marketing platforms, enterprise software, and small business solutions. Joining the medical research sector gave me the opportunity to apply that experience to work with a much broader purpose—supporting researchers whose work has the potential to improve health outcomes around the world.
What I enjoy most is that every study is different. Each brings its own requirements, challenges, and opportunities to create practical solutions that make research easier to manage.
