The Development Team designs, builds, and maintains the technology that powers Spiral's clinical trial infrastructure. Working closely with Product Owners, testers, and clients, they transform complex trial requirements into secure, reliable platforms that support researchers around the world.
Who is Sam?
As a Software Developer at Spiral, I work across our clinical trial platform, maintaining existing studies while building new forms, features, and functionality that support researchers around the world.
What I enjoy most is solving practical problems that make a genuine difference to the people using our software. Every study brings its own challenges, requiring a balance of technical thinking, creativity, and collaboration to build solutions that are both reliable and intuitive.
Working in a small, fast-moving team means being adaptable. Whether I'm developing new studies, improving existing platforms, or helping with automation and DevOps, I'm motivated by continually learning, expanding my technical skills, and contributing wherever I can have the greatest impact.

Outside of work, most of my time is spent with my partner and our newborn baby.
When time allows, I enjoy catching up with friends, keeping active, and following interests like golf, running, and live music. Those hobbies have taken a back seat for now, but I'm looking forward to getting back to them as family life settles into its rhythm.
