Emma Winks
Emma Winks is our dynamic Lead Project Manager/COO. With a background spanning veterinary nursing, AI, recruitment tech, and IT service delivery, Emma brings a wealth of experience and a laser-beam focus to her role.
Passionate about bringing clarity to complex projects, Emma employs Agile methodology to steer our software development for clinical trials. From her fast-paced stints in large enterprise SaaS companies in the US and NZ, she's adapted to working at a clip, making a difference for people across the globe.
Emma comes to work every day knowing that she and the rest of the team play a vital role in ensuring the company’s success. At Spiral, she can support others to be the best they can be while at the same time, work within a team that ‘keeps it real’ and bands together.
Beyond the tech realm, Emma loves getting out there and exploring the world around her, having recently traded her frequent Thailand visits for outdoor adventures in New Zealand. When not immersed in our varied projects, she indulges her love for animals - and with three four-legged friends of her own, you could say she has her hands full!

Project highlight:
The SNAP trial keeps me challenged. It's very rewarding to see more and more countries open for enrolments. It was also Sprial's first trial that included children and pregnant women, so it’s great be involved in a trial that doesn't exclude these as has so often been the case historically.
