...Helping you grow your knowledge...
Supporting you and our community is at the core of our business and
gets us out of bed in the morning. Use the stuff in this section to
grow your knowledge and succeed in your endeavors.
Support and FREE Information
Whether you are a client of Spiral or not we want to help you
succeed. The internet is an increasingly complex place, we would
like to think our software, booklets, blog and white papers can help
you with your endeavors.
Where do I start?
You can read and download a whole heap of information right here on our
website or from Audrey's blog.
If you prefer to talk to someone about your ideas, give Audrey a call in
the office on 04 5862686 and if it suits you come in for a chat - there is
no obligation and Audrey will be straight with you about what to do
next.
How we support you with stringent QA
Quality assurance checks (QA) are an important part of our website design
process. When your website is nearing completion we bring in some “fresh
eyes” to QA the website. We like having someone who hasn’t worked too
closely on the design and development process to have a detailed and
objective look at the content and layout of the site.
The types of things our QA check covers includes checking
- headings, font size and text style are consistent and match the
original brief
- grammar & spelling
- spacing, layout, style and colour for consistency
- the hypertext links work and that they take you to the correct place
- all factors consistent throughout the site
- that the meaning of the text is clear and suggesting where
re-writing may be required
Detailed notes and suggestions for changes are then given to the team. We
either make changes/corrections ourselves or make suggestions to you because
with Nautilus you are able to much of the updating yourself.
We keep in mind the style of the website and the differing needs of our
clients – some websites are more casual in style, others more formal.
Writing styles can differ enormously and our QA fine tunes the site before
it “goes live”.
